Account Inquiry Search Page

Account Inquiry is a selectable search feature.  The results will either show the account that matches the search criteria, or a list of matches (for instance to a partial Account Name search).  Further screens provide access to account historical information, and the account profile data.

Account List (Search Results)

If more than one account matches the search criteria, this pane displays all matches (paginated if needed). Each matching account will display the OSS Code, Account Name, TID, FEIN/SSN, and USDOT information, along with the Tax Type (IFTA or MCFT) and FTS Account Status (i.e. Active, Suspended, Revoked) and FTS Code.

Click the Company Name in the Result Account List to open the Account Inquiry display for that account (see section 6.2.1 Fuel Tax Account Information).

What is the IFTA Code?  The IFTA code is used by the FTS system to ensure that each account has a unique identifying number in the FTS system – for both IFTA and MCFT FTS accounts.

The IFTA code may be needed for some reports and batch processes that are initiated by the Tax Analyst Supervisor or management.
