The overall process for a new
license is as follows:

Click New License in the Registration section of the
application
¨
Search for and select
the account
¨
Review the
account information
¨
Select the tax type
(IFTA or MCFT)
¨
Complete the
account registration information page
¨
Select the
anticipated jurisdictions per fuel type for this account
Select the New License link
in the Registration section of the
left navigation panel.
Note: New License
is one area of the application that behaves a little differently. In most
places the FTS system expects a user to select an account and then perform an
action. To transact a new license however, the system needs to search for
accounts in
On the Account Inquiry page,
select the best means of finding the account in the Select by: drop down menu.
Enter corresponding data in the Select
a Fuel Tax Account data field. For
instance select the Company Name in the dropdown menu and enter the company
name in the data field.
Press Search.
